Why Orthodontics?

The first thing people notice is the smile, and we give people the ability to smile with great confidence. What could be better than that?

Orthodontics is far more than just straightening teeth. We create lasting changes in people by transforming their smiles, improving aesthetics, and guiding growth. Along the way, we also form lasting relationships with our patients — the true gift of orthodontic treatment.

I love welcoming patients to our practice and making them part of our family. Orthodontics is a process, an art, so we have time to get to know our patients honestly. I am genuinely excited to see every patient when they visit.

Education

  • University of Florida – Bachelor of Arts in Criminology

  • University of Texas at Houston School of Dentistry - Master of Science in Dentistry and Certificate in Orthodontics

Career Inspiration

I was inspired by my father to enter the field of dentistry and pursue advanced education in orthodontics, of course!

I grew up working for him in this practice and have always admired his passion for the profession. He did my braces, and I’ve watched him treat each and every patient with the same care and attention to detail he gave to me.

I’ve learned so much from him, but the greatest lesson has been to truly care for our patients — and to treat them like part of our family.

Research & Continuing Education

Orthodontics is a continually evolving field. As research improves, treatments become more efficient and comfortable for the patient. We keep up with the latest innovations to deliver excellent care to our patients.

I love the continual advances that allow me to treat patients to the highest standards of care. Our practice does not pay lip service to adopting new technology — we do it.

We have the training to choose what technologies save our patients' time and deliver enhanced comfort while avoiding common mistakes made by less experienced practitioners.

My research in residency focused on evaluating and delivering superior orthodontic results by leveraging new and emerging digital technologies. Our evidence-based practice constantly reviews new and existing literature to provide lasting, efficient, and safe treatment for patients of all ages.

Outside of the Office

Family is everything to me. My wife and best friend, Lisa, and I met during our undergraduate studies at the University of Florida. We have two young children, Robert and Ellie, who are the joys of our lives. And we have two dogs named Lady and Lucy.

My time outside the office is spent with my family, riding bikes, fishing, and flying. I also enjoy supporting the community through volunteer efforts, charitable contributions, and acts of service.
